Glogster/Voki Project!

Over the course of the past week, our Spanish 2 class participated in a project in which we created an online poster called a “Glog”. Within This “Glog” we were required to incorporate all of our knowledge over reflexive verbs and grammar usage, as well as a personal recording created through “Voki” in which we explained our routine to get ready for particular events in Spanish. The final product was then counted as a major test grade, providing a very nice alternative to a typical handwritten test. I particularly enjoyed this project for it allowed the expansion of learning in a more modern day style, overall making the project more interesting and a chance to express creativity, all while learning.

Nelly Cruz Assignment

In Spanish, I am participating in an assignment in which I have to create and publish a paragraph in Spanish about Mrs. Hugghins favorite baseball player, Nelly Cruz. I believe this assignment will have value to me for describing people has become apart of everyday society, thus making the mastering of this concept a necessity. In the corporate world, in everyday society, and even in school, it is crucial to be able to communicate with those of a different language, and this project applies to both concepts.

Me llamo Madison.

Voki Project

Over the past week, our Spanish II class participated in the creation of a Voki web account. After signing up, we were to create an avatar and personaly customize it to our own likeing. Once the avatar was completed, the next objective was to give our avatar our very own voice. To do this, we had to call a specified number, read a written introduction in Spanish, and then save it to our specified avatar so when people visit our page, they can hear our own greeting in Spanish. Once all these steps were completed, we had created our very own online learning Voki account.

I really enjoyed this project for it took a much different approach to learning Spanish than what I have ever been introduced to before, for it not only contributed to the education of languages and also education of technology as well. In my personal opinion,  the fact that technology was incorporated made the project much more enjoyable as opposed to regular book work, and I hope to use technology again to learn the aspects of Spanish II.

3rd Six Weeks.!!!! :D

Over the third six weeks, Carson McDaniel, Daniel Hammoud, and I were given the task to make a presentation over Chapter 16 Sec. 2, and to present them to our class. The slides were a success and the students responded well to our slides, which in the end helped them leave with a better understanding over the current objective. If anyone needs any help on climate, weather fronts, or natural disasters, feel free to use these slides. I hope they help. 🙂

Second Six Weeks .!!!! :D

Much like the first weeks, we have done yet another project. This time it was over motion. Josh Eastman, Alex Dorontes and I made a short presentation for our class to discuss the necessary vocabulary, formulas, and examples that all involved some type of motion. We then presented it to our class, set out examples, and answered any questions that they hea with our work. Our class responded very well to our project, and the understanding of motion seemed to come easier. If anyone is having any trouble with any of the topics we covered in our presentation, please feel free to take a look at our slides, it may help. 😀

Fisrt Six Weeks .!!!!! :D

Over the first six weeks, we received a project to teach the atom and the periodic table through a smart board activity (not posted). We made a document in google docs and a presentation in google apps (posted) that we showed before the smart board activity in order to explain the needed information to do the activity. The students responded well to the activity, and they seemed to understand the notes they took from the presentation and the document. This information seemed to help the people in my class, so if you need this information feel free to upload or comment on this link.
